About Us |
|
Our instrutora, Índia, is an inspired, creative teacher. Her passion for Capoeira began over 12 years ago in Miami. In 2000 she moved to Berkeley, California in search of a life change where she trained under Mestres Acordeon, Rã and Suelly for 4 years. She then returned home to Miami and began teaching. India has become one of the United Capoeira Association's advanced women Capoeiristas.
Through her effort, the first UCA school in the East Coast was established. Her love and passion for the art of Capoeira combined with her natural talents and vibrant presence create stimulating, empowering and imaginative classes. Her teaching continues the tradition with the intensity and honor that has been passed on to her from her Mestres.
Índia is assisted by Armando de Melo (Boto), a Portuguese-Brazilian Capoeirista who began training in the early 1980’s with Contramestre Avestruz, |
